The countdown has begun! If you are looking for a few local events to get you into the spirit of the season, look no further. Here are some upcoming holiday happenings in our area.

A2SO Presents: Holiday Pops

When: Friday, December 11 at 8pm
Where: Hill Auditorium, 825 N. University Ave., Ann Arbor, MI, 48109
What: A holiday concert for the whole family, featuring the Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra, as well as the Boychoir of Ann Arbor, Ann Arbor Youth Chorale, Skyline High School Choruses, Greenhills Choir, and Measure for Measure men’s chorus.

Homegrown at The Cobblestone

When: Sunday, December 13 (10am-5pm)
Where: Cobblestone Farm, 2781 Packard, Ann Arbor, MI 48104
What: Free admission and parking. A fine arts and crafts show of the highest quality featuring local artists. They exclusively promote buy Ann Arbor local and buy handmade in Michigan.

Handcrafters – 36th Annual Tinsel & Treasures Holiday Marketplace

When: December 11 (9am-8pm), December 12 (9am-5pm), and December 13 (11am-4pm)
Where: Northville Community Center, 303 W. Main Street, Northville, MI, 48439
What: Admission is $3, with children 12 and under FREE. This event is one of the top 100 art and craft shows in the country, and is the perfect time to get some holiday shopping done. Free parking and door prizes, as well as a collection of unwrapped toys and gifts for donation to Santa’s Cupboard.

12 Days of Christmas

When: Weekends 1-4pm
Where: Arbor Hills Shopping Center, 3010 Washtenaw Ave., Ann Arbor, MI, 48104
What: Santa will be walking around the mail delivering candy canes on Saturdays and Sundays from 1-4pm. In addition, on Saturday, September 19th the 107.1 Santa’s Workshop will be decorating Christmas cards with children and they will be able to pick out a special surprise from Santa’s bag.

A Brewery Christmas

When: Saturday, December 19 at 6pm
Where: Corner Brewery, 720 Norris Street, Ypsilanti, MI, 48198
What: Holiday jazz, cookies baked in-house, and seasonal brews, including the premier of Hazelnut Vanilla Porter. Enjoy a little grown-up time and relax before the end of the year.
