Things to Do this Fall in the Ann Arbor Area
Autumn has arrived! Although the temperatures are cooling down, this is still a great time to get outside and enjoy the beauty and bounty of nature before the snowflakes start to fall. We’ve included some options for great fall festivals, farms with apple and pumpkin picking, and (of course) football below.
Take in some history and satisfy your sweet tooth at the Dexter Cider Mill. They are the oldest continuously operated cider mill in Michigan, and they are now open with fall hours, Wednesday – Sunday, 9am – 5pm. In addition to natural cider, the Mill also offers a variety of delicious baked goods and weekend entertainment. Visit them at 3685 Central Street in Dexter.

O Christmas Tree!
As we wrap up Thanksgiving celebrations and enjoy the first snowfalls, chances are you will start to see some cars driving around with a Christmas tree strapped to the top. If you enjoy a live Christmas tree, you may want to check out some of these local farms that offer pre-cut and cut-your-own options that will have you rocking around your tree in no time!
Hours: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday: 10am – Dark beginning the Friday after Thanksgiving

Summer and Fall on the U of M campus wouldn’t quite be the same without students and businessmen/women sitting with laptops in the park, reading, or sitting on a blanket with pets and friends. The Diag is friendly to all walks of life and careers, and for foot traffic or bicycles. Even on hot summer days you can always find the right amount of shade to open that book or sit and listen to a local musician strum their guitar by a tree.
If Ann Arbor hasn’t made itself clear already as to how unique and fun it truly is, than right now its screaming at the top of its lungs, because we in downtown Ann Arbor have something that no other city does… FAIRY DOORS! To me, the idea of the fairy doors almost seems like something from the imagination of London or an area overwhelmed with history.
Its quite an interesting story behind how the fairy doors came to be and alot of fun to venture around the town looking for them. But if you dont have the time to stroll the streets of downtown, head to the website for a list of where you can find them. The door above is built-in to the main door to The Ark on Main St.
