Ann Arbor Real Estate Market Update – February 2014

Ann Arbor Actually Sees Decrease in Inventory

Ann Arbor Real Estate Statistics for February 2014
Unlike previous years, and other areas tracked, Ann Arbor has actually experienced a decrease in listing inventory from last month. Typically, inventory begins to rise between January and February, with the peak around May. Last year, inventory rose 17% between January and February. Could the frigid temps and non-stop snow be delaying sellers listing their homes? We will continue to track this trend and report back! As a whole, Ann Arbor remains in a seller’s market with a 3 month supply of listings with only the $880,000 and above price points in a buyer’s market.

Buyer demand remains high and is helping to drive home prices upward. If more homes don’t come to the market to satisfy the need for buyers, this trend will continue. If you are considering listing your home, but are waiting for the weather to break, consider listing it now!
