  • 19th Annual Cookie Walk. First United Methodist Church. 120 S. State St., Downtown Ann Arbor. 9-11am. Homemade cookies available for sale. Proceeds benefit local, national, and international missions. Free parking & admission.
  • Ann Arbor’s Farmer’s Market. Kerrytown, 315 Detroit St, Downtown Ann Arbor. 7am-3pm. Find the perfect, locally made holiday gifts from a wide array of artisans.
  • Santa Visits Kerrytown. Kerrytown Markets and Shops, Downtown Ann Arbor. 10am-1pm. Free.
  • 3rd Annual Cookie Walk. First Presbyterian Church of Ypsilanti. 300 N. Washington, Ypsilanti. 9am-noon. Hundreds of homemade cookies for purchase. Sit down for coffee & cookies and enter the raffle for a gingerbread house. $1/person and homemade cookies are $7/pound.

  • Winter Wonders/Solstice. Matthaei Botanical Gardens, 1800 N. Dixboro Rd, Ann Arbor. 10am-noon. Why the seasons change workshop, decorate with native plants and greenery, make holiday cards and decorations to take home. $10/child.
  • Yourist Studio Gallery Holiday Sale. 1133 Broadway, Ann Arbor. 10am-6pm. Gallery shopping featuring the ceramic works of local artists. Free entry.
  • Two Twelve Arts Center Holiday Sale. 216 W. Michigan Ave, Saline. 10am-6pm. Original artwork by local artists to fit all budgets. Free entry.
  • Santa Visits Northfield Township Library. 75 Barker Rd., Whitmore Lake. 10am-2pm. Visit Santa and have your child’s photo taken with him. Free event.
  • Friends at Front Porch Holiday Sale. 1219 Traver, Ann Arbor. 10am-4pm. Handwoven scarves, towels, throws, yarn, elegant silk flowers, jewelry, pottery, found art, and art tiles by local artists. Free entry.
  • Tiny Expo at Metal. 220 Felch St., Ann Arbor. 10am-7pm. Indie Arts and Crafts fair featuring unique wares and displays. Free entry.
  • D.I.Ypsi Handmade Holiday Fair. Corner Brewery 720 Norris St., Ypsilanti. 11am-7pm. Handmade art fair with local artisans. Enjoy vegan food and craft beer. 25cent entry to benefit Children’s Art Center.
  • A Christmas Tea. Gordon Hall (Dexter Historical Society) 8341 Island Lake Rd, Dexter. Seatings at 1pm and 4pm. Holiday tea with an Old World Santa drawing. Reservations 734-424-0369. $20/adult, $5/kids 4-14.

  • Youth Dance Theater of Michigan: 15th Annual Nutcracker. Chelsea High School Performing Arts Complex. 2pm and 7pm. The classic Christmas story performed by accomplished dancers. $15/adult, $10/children and seniors.
  • A German Family Christmas. Kempf House Museum. 312 S. Division, Ann Arbor. 1-4pm. Tours of the decorated museum with carols and cookies. Free entry.
